Dümler & Breiden

Dümler & Breiden was a German ceramics manufacturer based in Höhr-Grenzhausen, a region renowned for its pottery tradition. Founded in 1883 by Peter Dümler and Albert Breiden, the company became known for its high-quality stoneware and later for its striking mid-century modern designs. During the 1950s–1970s, Dümler & Breiden produced bold, colourful vases with textured glazes, often associated with the “Fat Lava” style. Although the company ceased production in the 1990s, its ceramics remain highly collectible for their craftsmanship and innovative glazing techniques.
